Autumn ’24 will be recalled not just for the great head racing, but also for the gorgeous weather that kept us rowing right into December. Highlights of the big regattas follow, but first: All hail Daniela Roop! The revered coach of generations of Narragansett juniors is taking a well-earned break. Daniela is what colleague John Ryan calls “a cornerstone of our community,” who has long stood out for her regard of “the ‘whole kid,’ not just the rowing kid,” in the words of Kim Worrell.
