Narragansett Bay Regatta

The Seekonk River is normally host to several regional regattas each year: the Mayor’s Cup, the Sweeps and Sculls, and in 2018, the new Narragansett Bay Regatta for multiple classes of boats (Click the links above for details). NBC also hosts the Rhode Island Interscholastic Regatta each spring. Sprint races are held on a 2000m race course  which finishes in front of the boat club, while the Narragansett Bay race takes racers into more open waters.

NBC also hosts three intramural regattas for class participants and club members: the Cord Grass Sprints and the Firebee Sprints in the summer, and the Konquer the ‘Konk head race in the fall. Each regatta has a number of events which allow juniors of all skill levels to demonstrate what they’ve learned in a fun and competitive environment.
