Former NBC Youth Chosen to Represent the USA at U23 World Championships

u23 Anders

Anders Weiss (7 seat, above) is a Rhode Islander who learned to row at the Narragansett Boat Club, entered Brown, and has been a rower there for the past two years. This spring he was selected to be a member of the prestigious USRowing Under 23 Team that will race against the top crews in the world at Linz, Austria, July 25-28this month. The trip costs each rower/coxswain $4,500 total. There are no corporate sponsors for rowing. We can help Anders reach this goal.

Without donations from private individuals, this trip and the crew's entry into the competition are not possible. Each donation to the National Rowing Foundation is tax deductible and helps make their goal of becoming World Champions possible. As noted above, Anders is rowing in the seven seat and proudly wears his NBC racing shirt. The U.S. men's crews have won the eight-oared event for the past two years. A large part of their success has been the support the crews have received from the folks in their hometowns and schools. They are extremely eager to represent the United States, and this year's eight hopes to return on July 28 with another gold medal.
