Youth Spring Rowing and Adult Session 1

NBC Rowers, Scullers, and Coxswains Are On the Water April 1:

Spring Youth and Adult applications for the on-the-water rowing are now online. On-the-water rowing will begin April 1. Youth Rowers: Most of the sweeps and sculling spots are full, but we do have changes, so if you'd like to register, do so online and then visit the boathouse to see if you can actually row. You might be lucky.

We will have the largest group of youth in NBC Scholastic, reaching perhaps 75 rowers/scullers. There is a strong balance, too, between beginners and experienced rowers, many who have two or more years of experience. In addition to this group of youth rowers, we will also have thirty-five Lincoln School and twenty-eight Bay View rowers and coxswains. When you add in the many eight-oared and four-oared shells of Brown University's crews, the Seekonk River is quite the sight to see every afternoon throughout the spring

To Register for classes go to and click on the Appropriate Application. Toward the end of the first week of April we will set the schedule for Session 2 Adults. We hope to see many more adults rowing this year!

Having trouble finding the Narragansett Boat Club? Use 2 River Road, Providence RI 02906. If you cannot do that use "794 Angell Street, Providence" for your GPS. It is the corner of Angell Street and River Road. You can access the NBC from Irving Avenue in the north, as well as any other route from the south.
